How it all began
When I was allowed to test an ENYAQ in 2021, I started my YouTube channel at the same time. Back then, the MEB electric platform was still young and the technology wasn’t fully developed. I wanted to test, understand and improve – and over the years I have built up what is probably the largest Skoda electric car community.
Today, I am one of the leading independent Skoda electric mobility experts, with direct contacts to Skoda – right up to CEO Klaus Zellmer. I want to help ensure that the European car industry remains successful – through innovation & genuine customer proximity.
My professional background
I didn’t start my career in electromobility, but in the digital economy: strategy, product development & customer centricity – I learnt how companies should develop products for people.
I have worked in many industries, software development, the public sector, the automotive sector, the energy sector and the financial sector at a bank. As a project manager, consultant, technical manager, product manager, product owner and business owner.
Why “Electrified Speicher”?
“Speicher” is not only my last name – it’s also the German word for storage or battery. And in an electric car, everything revolves around one thing: the battery. That makes the name of my channel a little wordplay: “Speicher elektrisiert” = A storage electrified – or Matthias Speicher electrified.”
But there’s more to it. Because with my videos, I aim to electrify minds – not just batteries. I want to inform, inspire and sometimes provoke:
